Barbara Jean Smith, 68, of Dowagiac, passed away peacefully in her home, on Aug. 10, 2013.
She was born Aug. 21, 1944, to L.T and Anna (Hibnar) Smith in Dowagiac.
She enjoyed the time spent time with her cat, Troubles, tinkering around her home, finding things to fix, and spending time with her loving family.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
She is survived by: her two nieces, Lesa Wallace, of Dowagiac, and Lori (Joel) Howe, of Portsmouth, Va.; and many great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be made to the ACTION Center Food Pantry.
