Patricia Marie Hagemann, 84

Patricia Marie Hagemann, 84 of Dowagiac, passed home peacefully to be with her Lord on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Ind.

She was born Sept. 23, 1928, to Charles and Lila (Gawthrop) Dodd of Dowagiac.

Her parents preceded her in death.

She married Frank Hagemann on Aug. 2, 1947. Frank died on Feb. 1, 1989.

She is survived by: children, Mike and Shirley Hagemann of Whitsett, N.C., Dave and Debbie Hagemann of Dowagiac, Mary and Dave Hull of Dowagiac, Frank and Janie Hagemann of Dowagiac, Susan and Roger Wegner of Cassopolis and daughter-in-law, Mary Hagemann of Dowagiac.

Sons Ronald Hagemann and Joseph Hagemann  preceded her in death.

Also surviving are: 17 grandchildren; lots of great-grandchildren; a sister, Darlene Dodd of Phoenix, Ore.; brothers Leon and Joan Dodd of Dowagiac, Jim and Judy Dodd of Dowagiac and Larry and Teri Dodd of Chicago; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Preceding her in death were sisters Charlene Clark and Marilyn Thelmon and brothers Charles Dodd, Thomas Dodd and Terry Dodd.

Patricia graduated from Dowagiac High School. She retired from Sundstrand Heat Transfer.

An avid, golfer, bowler, mushroom hunter and card player, she loved going to Beeson Street for morning coffee with her friends. All her married life she was very active with Loyal Order of Moose in Dowagiac.

She loved spending time with all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She also loved attending Keeler Church of God with her grandson Gary’s family.

Friends had the opportunity to spend time with the family at Keeler Church of God, 61783 County Road 687, Dowagiac, on Aug. 5 from noon to 2 p.m., with services at 2.
