Connie Joan Hunter, 73, passed away July 7, 2013 in Phoenix, Ariz.

Connie was born in Hayti, Mo., on April 30, 1940 to Walter Biggs and Virginia Meek Biggs.

She was raised in Michigan and attended Buchanan Schools. She first married Robert Srmek and her children Bobby and Renee were born.  She later met Bill Hunter in 1970 and they moved to Arizona, settling first in the Phoenix area. They were married in 1975 and later moved to New River, just north of Phoenix, from 1977 until 1999. They then relocated to Salome, Ariz., where they have lived until the present time.

Connie enjoyed the outdoors and the Arizona desert. She often traveled with Bill when he worked and she enjoyed car shows and being with Bill. She loved her animals and they will miss her dearly.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Virginia Biggs and a brother Larry Biggs. She is survived by her husband Bill of Salome and children: Bobby Srmek of Niles, Mich., and Renee (Floyd) Sickling of Osceola, Ind., and step-children: Beth (Fred) Hunter of Williams, Ariz., Ken (Teri) Hunter of Ashfork, Ariz., Joe (Marcia) Hunter of South Bend, Ind., brothers Walter and Mike Biggs both of Niles, Mi. and sisters Valda Skinner and Barbara (Fred) Bailey also of Niles, Mich.
