Mary Elizabeth Davis, 87, of Cassopolis,  passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013, in Lakeland Regional Medical Center, St. Joseph.
She was born Nov. 9, 1925 in Rosedale, Ind., the daughter of James and Fannie H. (Walker) Rosser. On Aug. 8, 1942, in Green Castle, Ind., she married Sherman S. Davis, who survives.
She attended Bethel Community Church and was a member of the Christian Ladies Guild. She was a past member of the Volinia 4-H and enjoyed knitting and doing crafts.
Surviving, besides her husband, Sherman, is one daughter, Deborah Sue (Robert) Mortimore, of Cassopolis; two sons, Terry Lee (Ann) Davis, of Cassopolis, and Lawrence Sherman (Patricia) Davis, of Marcellus; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in the Mater-Ralston Funeral Home, Marcellus. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Marcellus Cemetery.
