George E. Castle, 66

George’s life began on Sept. 3, 1946, in Dowagiac, the son of Victor and Amelia (Birdsall) Castle. He served his country in the U.S. Army.  George was involved in research and development for a Phoenix area company.  He was united in marriage to Sylvia Castle, who survives in Phoenix.

George was an avid motorcyclist. His family includes: his wife; two daughters, Cathy (David) Brown of Denver, Colo., and Andrea (Stephen) Welzmiller of Phoenix; his mother, Amelia Castle of Murphysboro, Ark.; Grandchildren, Hannah Welzmiller, Nathan Brown and Bailey Brown; siblings, Victor (Linda) Castle Jr. of Texas, Carol (Nils) Hartmann of San Diego, Ruth Hill of Dowagiac, Patty (John) Wolf of Shipshewana, Ind., Mark (Brenda) Castle of Murphysboro and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

George passed away on June 15, 2013 in Arkansas.  He is preceded in death by his father, Victor Castle Sr., and a sister, Alice Castle.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
