To the editor:

In Tuesday night’s paper, there was an article about the Summer Concert Series kicking off June 6.

I beg to differ with that.

On May 30, the combined choirs from Dowagiac Middle School and Union High School opened the summer series at the Beckwith Park.

However, due to no advertising ahead of time, very few people knew about them being there.

This should have been advertised just as SMC’s was.

These young people gave of themselves for the opening of the Beckwith Concert series and they did it gladly.

They are a great group of students and their director is one of the best.

Thank you, students and Jeff (Robinson). You did a great job (as always) and we hope those who were there to hear them enjoyed yourself.

Here’s to more performances from these fine young people. You guys and gals are the best.
