Carol A. (Adams) Wells, 60, of Dowagiac, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at West Woods of Niles, following an illness.

She was born on Aug. 1, 1952, in Elkhart, Ind., to the late William H. and Ethel Mae (Paull) Adams.

Carol was a graduate of Niles High School. On May 22, 1982, Carol married Randall Wells at a ceremony in Dowagiac.  She worked for many years in public transit and always took care of those entrusted into her care.

Carol enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cross-stitch, cooking and baking. She was also active in volunteering with the Cass County Council on Aging.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Carol is survived by: her husband, Randall Wells Sr. of Dowagiac; a son, Randall Wells Jr. of Decatur, Ill.; two daughters, Michelle (Richard Jr.) Anderson of Decatur and Robin Ann Wells of Cassopolis; four grandchildren, Grace, Dale and Clara Anderson of Decatur, Mich., and Arianna Anderson of South Bend, Ind.; a sister, Joyce Cook of Michigan; along with nieces, nephews and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22, at 11 a.m. at Pokagon United Methodist Church with Pastor Sean Kidd officiating.

The family would like her friends to come and share memories of Carol and her love of life. She will be interred at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made in Carol’s memory to the American Cancer Society or to Cass County Council on Aging.
