According to astronomers, summer officially begins June 21. With summer not yet here, it is completely understandable if you’re not yet thinking about fall.

The reality, however, is that fall college course registration across the nation is well underway, and classes are filling up fast. Now is the time to act to ensure that you get the classes you want at the times and location you want.

Whether you know exactly what courses you need, or if you want to begin investigating a new career, now is the time to start. Advisors are happy to talk with you about your educational and career goals, and suggest multiple alternatives.

You can come by Southwestern Michigan College’s new Student Service Centers at either our Dowagiac or Niles campus.

In addition to career advising, our admissions advisors are trained to walk you through the process of applying and registering for fall classes, as well as help you with filling out financial aid applications.

And if you’re interested in experiencing a total college life on our beautiful 240-acre Dowagiac campus, then our advisors can help you with the on-campus housing application.

SMC’s third residential housing building will open this fall, raising our on-campus student body to 390.

So while you’re planning your summer, invest a day to stop by either our Dowagiac or Niles campus and register for fall classes before the rush begins. Fall will be here sooner than you think.
