Steven A. Aldrich, 58, of Elkhart, passed away Wed. June 5, 2013 at Hospice House of Elkhart. He was born September 2, 1954 in Niles, Michigan to Oris Richard and Marjorie G. (Ekins) Aldrich. He married Maureen “Mo” Montgomery who preceded him in death on Mar. 14, 2013. Surviving is a son, Chris A. Aldrich, his parents, Oris Richard and Marjorie G. Aldrich, sisters, Darleen A. (John) Davis and Nancee E. (Steve) Walter; step-daughter, Melissa Wilkerson, step-son, Wayne T. Wilkerson and step-grandchildren, J.R., Nate and Alex Bakke and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Steve attended Buchanan schools from 1959-1971 and graduated from Brandywine High School in June of 1973. He worked at Inlander Steindler Paper Co., was a conductor for Conrail from 1976-1981 and was a chauffeur for D&T Limo, Miles Post Limo, and P.T.I. Limo for a total of 17 years. His hobbies included railroads, golfing, and bowling. He was a die-hard Cubs and Bears fan and enjoyed the Beatles and Elvis.

Friends may call from 2-4 pm Sat. June 8 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart where a memorial service will be held at 4 pm. Reverend David Hudson will officiate. Cremation will follow services.

Steve has requested no flowers or plants. Memorial contributions are preferred to the Buchanan High School class of 1973 Reunion Committee, c/o Jim Miller, coordinator or Center for Hospice Care.
