Niles Vikings 10U squad finishes second

KALAMAZOO — The Niles Vikings 10U travel baseball team battled to a second place finish at the Kalamazoo BPA 10U Tournament.

The Vikings easily beat their pool play competition May 25, winning 14-3 against the Battle Creek Jr. Bombers and 15-4 against Knights Travel of South Haven.

On May 26, the Vikings continued their success by overcoming the Kalamazoo Kobras 11-7, which brought them to the championship game against the Bulldogs.

The Vikings came up short in the title game.

The team recently competed in the ABYA All-American Slugfest Tournament in Elkhart, Ind.
