The Niles summer concert series opens Wednesday at 7 p.m. with a performance by the Southwestern Michigan College Jazz Band at the Riverfront Amphitheater in Riverfront Park in downtown Niles.

This will be the only Wednesday performance during the summer concert series, which runs every Thursday at the Riverfront Amphitheater until the final show Sept. 5.

The Whistle Pigs are scheduled to play this Thursday.

All concerts are provided free of charge.
