A Niles family that lost most of its belongings in a house fire Wednesday morning is asking for help.

Scott Clifford, Pam Reygaert, Robert Horbath and Brendan Clifford were able to escape the home at 1122 Lawndale with their two dogs, but two cats died in the fire. The fire started in the attached garage and spread into the kitchen before it was put out by Niles Charter Township firefighters assisted by Niles City Fire. Four vehicles and a motorcycle were destroyed. The house is a total loss due to fire, smoke and water damage.

Those wanting to assist the family in getting through this tough time can call Reygaert at (269) 262-6028.
