A crash on Union Road near Wayne Street in Porter Township Tuesday morning injured several people.

Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reported his deputies investigated the 7:34 a.m. crash.

Deputies reported that a vehicle driven by Shannon Parker, 34, of Elkhart, Ind., was southbound on Union Road.

A vehicle driven by Debra Herrli, 59, of Union, did not see the Parker vehicle and went through the stop sign. Parker could not avoid Herrli’s vehicle.

Parker and three juveniles were treated at the scene by Porter Ambulance and released.

Herrli was transported to Elkhart General Hospital by Porter Ambulance with minor injuries.

Both drivers were wearing their safety belts. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Porter Township Fire Department also assisted the sheriff’s office at the scene.

Names of the juveniles were withheld. The crash remains under investigation.
