CASSOPOLIS – For the second time in three days, Cassopolis freshman forward Jaleesa Garner torched the Brandywine soccer team with a five-goal performance as the Rangers completely dominated in a 7-0 win over the visiting Bobcats Monday night.

As was the case in the previous meeting between the two teams (an 8-0 victory for Cass in the first round of the Vandenburg tourney), Cass’ defense performed a little magic by making the Bobcat offense disappear almost entirely by limiting to just two shots in 80 minutes of play. The Rangers have outshot Brandywine 51-3 in the team’s last two games.

Garner has continued her goal scoring hot streak upping her totals to 13 goals in the last three games. Senior captain Meagan Ruff also added two goals of her own with an assist in Monday’s match.

The win pushed the Rangers’ (who have already locked up the Lakeland Conference regular season title) record to 14-4, while the Bobcats fell to 5-13 on the year.

Brandywine will return to action Thursday when it travels to Bangor to take on the Vikings at 5 p.m., while the Rangers will have to wait until next Tuesday when it faces Brandywine for a third straight game at 4:30pm in Cassopolis.
