Bobcats split with Vikings

BRONSON – The Brandywine softball team split a pair of games with host Bronson Wednesday.

The Vikings won the first game 10-0 in six innings, while the Bobcats rebounded to take the second game 6-5.

In the opener, Michaela Hartline had Brandywine’s lone hit.

Mikayla Kemp took the loss for the Bobcats.

In the second game, Brandywine scored all six of its runs in the first four innings and then held off a late Vikings’ charge.

Kemp allowed just two earned runs in picking up the victory.

Makenna Hartline was 2-for-4 with a triple, while Justine Sater and Michaela Hartline also had two hits.

Kelly Harper had a double for Brandywine.
