Born: Jan. 11, 1949

Dee’s life began on Jan. 11, 1949, in Dowagiac, the son of Howard D. and Ruth (Martin) Sheline Sr.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, earning a VN Service Medal, National Defense Medal and Driver Badge.
He was very artistic and enjoyed outdoor fishing and mushroom hunting, reading westerns and being with family and friends. Dee was a construction contractor.
His loving family includes his wife, Edith (Perkins) Sheline of Dowagiac; one son, Brett (Leslie) Sheline; two daughters, Deha (Paul) Wezeman and Sarah (Brad) Buck, both of Mishawaka, Ind.; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Robert (Debi) Sheline of South Carolina, Martin (Sheila) Sheline of Berrien Center and Bradley Sheline of Marcellus; and two sisters, Deborah Goodrich of Niles and Reta (Dean) Swingler of Dowagiac.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
