The Dowagiac JV softball team swept a pair of games from Brandywine Wednesday.

The Chieftains won the opening game 18-4 and then completed the sweep with a 15-3 win.

Megan Huey was the winning pitcher in both contests.

In the first game, Dowagiac got doubles from McKenzie Kiggins, Zoey Michael and Leela Smith-Ferrier. Riley Daly added a triple.

Daly and Ferrier-Smith both drove in three runs with Dodd and Alyssa Casey each driving in a pair.

In the nightcap, Dodd, Kiggins, Michael (2) and Ferrier-Smith all doubled. Kiggins and Ferrier Smith also had triples.

Ferrier-Smith had four RBIs, while Michael had three and Daly and Casey had two each,
