Jerry W. Cantrell Jr., 38

Died: April 20, 2013

 

Jerry’s life began on June 4, 1974 in Dowagiac, the son of Jerry and Judy (Wheeler) Cantrell.  He was a 1992 graduate of Dowagiac Union High School.

 

Jerry was employed by several area companies, including National Copper, Ameriwood, LA West and Glavell.

 

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. Jerry also enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his children.  He is survived by: his parents, Jerry and Judy Cantrell of Dowagiac; paternal grandmother, Rosa Cantrell of Dowagiac; his sister, Sandra Cantrell-Moore of Dowagiac; his spouse, Tracy Carrington-Cantrell of Dowagiac; children,  Blaine Cantrell of Edwardsburg and Hadashah Cantrell of Dowagiac; nephews, Joshua Kiggins and Justin Moore; and several cousins, aunts and uncles.

 

Jerry passed away at his home on Saturday, April 20, 2013. at his home.

 

His family will gather with friends on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Yazel and Clark Chapel, where his funeral service will be on Friday at 11a.m. led by Pastor John Saylor of Keeler Church of God.
