Dowagiac City Council meets at 7 tonight at City Hall, 241 S. Front St.

 

 

 

Proclamation

 

 

 

Mayor Donald D. Lyons will declare May 10-19 as “Dogwood Fine Arts Festival” week.

 

 

 

Communications

 

 

 

• White Cane drive, June 6-8.

 

• Citywide carnival celebration, Aug. 17.

 

 

 

Resolutions

 

 

 

• Transfer of McKinley Elementary School property from Dowagiac Union Schools to the city so it can be returned to use as a playground.

 

• Renew lease agreement with Nancy Shufelt for city-owned property known as Twistees.

 

• Change meeting time for the May 22 council meeting from 7 p.m. to 6 p.m. to avoid conflict with Dogwood Fine Arts Festival event schedule.

 

• Declare May 11 as National Train Day.

 

• Authorize FY 2012-13 budget amendments through March 31.

 

• Pay $757,731.06, including bills for $588,428.99 and payroll of $169,302.07.
