Laurence F. “Larry” Fosdick, of Dowagiac,  passed away Thursday, April 18, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 16, 1932, in Cass County, the son of Marshall and Helen (White) Fosdick.

On Sept. 29, 1951, in Dowagiac, he married Mary Lynn Maxey who survives. They enjoyed 61 years together.

In addition to his wife, he leaves behind six children, Steve Fosdick, of Manistee, Sally Ball, of Coldwater, Kimberly Macklin, of Quincy, Perry Fosdick, of Montgomery, Kristin Worrell of Dowagiac and Lori Fosdick, of Bronson; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and one brother, Dale Fosdick, of Dowagiac.
Larry loved hunting, fishing and watching sports programs.  He loved the outdoors and always planted a big garden and kept the neighbors and family in produce.

He worked in agriculture and retired from Country Mark in Marcellus in 1988. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church in Marcellus.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bryce Fosdick; one sister, Beth Fosdick; and one grandson, Samuel Worrell.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 26, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Marcellus.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the Salvation Army.

Arrangements were handled by Mater-Ralston Funeral Home, Marcellus.
