George M. Weiser, 60, of Buchanan, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2013, at home, following a lengthy illness, surrounded by his family.

He was born on Jan. 23, 1953, in Niles to the late George E. Sr. and Dorothy M. (Hart) Weiser.

On July 7, 1990, he married Judy Ann Bellew at a ceremony in Niles. George worked in construction, dry walling for many years, for Jack Hickey and Associates in South Bend.

George was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting.

He also liked quiet rides in his pickup, listening to classic rock.

He mostly loved spending time with his friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George E. Weiser Jr., and a sister-in-law, Diane Bellew.

George is survived by his wife, Judy Ann Weiser, of Buchanan; their daughter, Selena Weiser, also of Buchanan; three sisters, Yvonne Elaine Cole, of Niles, Sandra Tompkins, of Niles, and Rosemary (Carl “Ray”) Smith, of Alabama; a brother-in-law, Joseph Bellew, of Ann Arbor; a sister-in-law, Marianne (Ken) Spicer, of Jackson; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 4 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home in Niles with a time of visitation beginning one-hour prior.
