EDWARDSBURG — A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. 12 and South Beach Drive at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday killed an 80-year-old Edwardsburg man, Harold Wise.

Chief Kenneth Wray of the Ontwa Township-Edwardsburg Police Department reports his officers responded to the crash, in which a westbound vehicle driven by David Wilson, 73, of Edwardsburg. His passenger was an 8-year-old minor in the 2003 Buick SUV.

Wise’s vehicle was eastbound on U.S. 12. His passenger in the 2007 Ford Taurus was his wife, Shirley.

Wray said the crash remains under investigation.

Michigan State Police, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Edwardsburg ambulance, Edwardsburg Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance all assisted at the crash scene.
