Richard Alan “Rick” Hull, 50, of Niles, Mich., died at 10:27 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at his home, unexpectedly but of natural causes.

He was born on Dec. 16, 1962 in Niles to John Loor and Mary Louise (Teixeira) Hull.  He was graduated from Brandywine High School and has lived in the Brandywine community all of his life.  He was formerly employed at Niles Chemical Paint and at Modineer.

Rick had recently been participating in activities at First Baptist Church in Niles.  He was a fan of Major League Baseball, and especially the Chicago Cubs and of the University of Michigan football team.  He enjoyed attending live concerts of rock bands.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Hull, and by a brother, Robert Louis Curtis, Jr.

Surviving family includes his children, Tori Lynn Brandon of Niles and Dylan Richard Hull of South Bend, Ind.; a granddaughter, Stephanie Elizabeth; his sisters, Barbara (and Ronald) Satkoski and Sheila (and Robert) Smiedendorf, both of Niles and several nieces and nephews including Lisa Adams and Kelli Smiedendorf.

The family of Rick Hull will receive relatives and friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles.
