Letter: Niles Easter egg hunt a success

Published 4:47pm Tuesday, March 26, 2013

To the editor:

The annual Easter Egg Hunt at Riverfront Park went well despite the cold.
I want to thank those who helped make this possible: Greater Niles Credit Union, McDonald’s, Walmart, Chemical Bank, Martin’s Super Market, Pizza Transit, Eagles and Niles Main Street DDA and to the Niles City Police officers who also braved the cold to help.
An extra special thanks go to my Civitan “flock” and friends who helped stuff eggs and “lay” them in the park.
We estimated 250 to 300 children attended to gather more than 4,000 eggs.
The winners of the three special prizes were:
• Daxton Howell, 2
• Tyler Hollis, 7
• Katrina Meyer, 8
One not claimed was in the 3 to 4 age group. If your child has the slip of paper for that, call (269) 683-1632.
Thanks again to all.
