Wesley David Rice

Carried to term, we anticipated our baby’s arrival with such love and dreams of a life spent with him.  Days before his delivery, we discovered he would be unable to make the transition into this world.  How our hearts ached.  Our precious Wesley David Rice was born sleeping in Jesus on March 7, 2013 at 4:05 a.m. at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles, Mich., to his loving parents, Robert and Kristina Rice and his adoring brothers, Vincent and Cedric.  Believing that he already rests safe in the care of Jesus, we felt that we were holding a piece of heaven as we admired him.  How we long for the promise of Jesus Christ, when angels will place him in our arms again. “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain.  All these things are gone forever.” (Revelation 21:4)  Joining us in waiting for that day are grandparents: Robert and Darlene Rice and Walter and LuAnn Bermeo; great-grandmothers Lucille Maddox, Verla Rice, and Rowena Futcher; aunts: Amber, Jennifer, Leilani, Sonya, and Ivanna; uncles: Kirk, Andrew, Trent, Teddy, and Monte and cousins: Simon and Grayson.

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love.  Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow-not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.”  Romans 8:38 (NLT)
