Wayne crash injures four

CASSOPOLIS — A two-vehicle crash Monday morning at Dutch Settlement Street and Twin Lakes Road in Wayne Township left several people with minor injuries.

Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports his office investigated the 8:09 a.m. crash in which a van driven by Bruce Shultz, 53, of South Bend, Ind., was traveling west on Dutch Settlement when a vehicle driven by Kevein Robles, 27, of Dowagiac, disobeyed a stop sign, crossing in front of him and causing a collision.

Passengers of the van, Charles Lace, 73, of Dowagiac , was treated at the scene. Sue Wolf, 64, Dowagiac, was taken to Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Shultz was treated and released at the scene.

Robles was also treated and released at the scene.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor. Seat belts were worn. Cass County sheriff’s deputies were assisted by Pride Care Ambulance and Dowagiac Fire Department.
