Barbara Mae Fausch Stover, 83, of Niles, passed away, Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, in Indianapolis, Ind., with her family by her side.

Barbara was born on May 16, 1929 to the late Clayton and Saimi (Paloheimo) Fausch.

After graduating from high school Barbara wed the love of her life, Larry Stover at a ceremony in Niles on July 3, 1949. Together they raised two children.

Barbara dedicated her life to her family and enjoyed baking. Her peanut butter and oatmeal cookies were always the hit of the family vacations. She loved to write poetry and her words were a symbol of the love she had for her life and family. Her love for the written word was reflected in her passion for reading. A good mystery would transport her to a far off adventure that needed to be solved. She has begun her best adventure yet and will be deeply missed by her family and all those that loved her.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Stover; her parents, Clayton and Saimi Fausch; and her siblings, Myron Fausch, Beverly (Fausch) Voshell, and Roger Fausch.

She is survived by her son Larry (Jane) Stover Jr. of Indianapolis, Ind., daughter Dorothy (Terry) Martin of Niles, Mich., grandchildren Jacinda E. Stover, Larry (Diana) Stover III, Maria Martin and Terry (Brenda Ball) Martin Jr., great grandchildren Austin and Lauren Stover, Tara Martin and Steven Prewitt.

Barb has been cremated and her family will be remembering her privately.
