Carol Ann Zepik, 57

Carol Ann passed away on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Holland Hospital. She was born Jan. 22, 1956, in Dowagiac to Billy and Lillian (Flora) Easton and was a 1974 graduate of Dowagiac Union High School.

Carol married George Zepik on Dec. 23, 1977, at her family home in Dowagiac. They raised their family in Zeeland and were members of the Holland Church of Christ.

Carol worked for Holland Hospital and was a busy volunteer. She served others in her church family and volunteered for Zeeland Pumpkin Fest, Holland Civic Theater, Zeeland High Players, Zeeland High Dance Program and the Avalon School of the Arts.

Surviving Carol are: her husband of 35 years, George; daughter, Erika (Jason) McCombs; grandchildren, Caleb and Lilly McCombs; son, Samuel Zepik and fiancé Nidya Prego; mother, Lillian Easton; sister, Martha Messner; niece, Jennifer (Leonard) Hoover; nephew, John (Heather) Messner; an uncle, Richard (Ann) Flora; and several cousins.

Funeral services to honor Carol’s faith and life were held at noon Jan. 28 at Holland Church of Christ.

Interment was in Zeeland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland.
