Former Dowagiac football and softball coach Denny Dock will be inducted into the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association Hall of Fame today.

Dock, who currently coaches both sports at Lakeshore High School, has also been selected the Division 3-4 Associated Press Football Coach of the Year.

Dock led Dowagiac to its first regional softball championship and its first appearance in the modern Michigan High School Athletic Association playoffs.

At Lakeshore, Dock has led the Lancers to six state softball championships. In football he has led Lakeshore to five undefeated regular seasons. He is currently 254-74 on the football field and 952-246 on the softball diamond.

Dock will become the 79th coach inducted into the Hall of Fame this evening in East Lansing.
