Four Courses with the Chorale

 

On Saturday, Feb. 9, enjoy an evening that will please all the senses. Four Courses with the Chorale is a fundraising dinner concert to benefit student scholarships to the Dogwood Summer Youth Camp.

Enjoy a concert by the Dogwood Chorale featuring a wide variety of folk, classical, jazz and the music of Broadway.

Revel in a special four-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Tim Carrigan of Southwestern Michigan College and Fernwood Botanical Gardens.

The evening will also showcase wine makers Matt and Chris Moersch of the Round Barn Winery and Free Run Cellars.

Learn about the beautiful art of wine making and enjoy the delightful wine pairings specially chosen for meal.

Your attendance and or contributions to this event help to continue the mission of the camp and support scholarships for area students.

Dogwood Youth Vocal Camp is preparing for its seventh year of

summer music for students.

The camp is designed to encourage and promote the art of choral music through daily rehearsals and enrichment classes in basic musicianship and vocal techniques.

Over the past six years, 200 students from across southwest Michigan have attended this summer camp.

Training and activities are facilitated by members of the Dogwood Chorale under the direction of Dave Carew.

The week-long workshop culminates in a free public concert at the end of camp week.

This event is supported and sponsored in-part by: Southwestern Michigan College, Chef Tim Carrigan, Bud Distributing, Round Barn Winery, Free Run Cellars and Entente Spirits.

Four Courses with the Chorale takes place at 6 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Mathews Conference Center on the Dowagiac campus of Southwestern Michigan College. Tickets are $40 per person.
