Randy L. Irwin, 51, of St. Joseph, passed away at his residence on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013.

He was born in St. Joseph on Dec. 31, 1961, to Richard L. and Laura M. (Jenkins) Irwin.

Randy was a carpenter most of his life. He enjoyed fishing and loved his faithful companion, Suzy Q, his pitbull.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Laura M. Jenkins-Fain.

Randy is survived by his father, Richard Irwin; and stepmother, Mildred Irwin, of Baroda; a son, Randy L. Irwin Jr., of St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Peggy (Bob) Crampton, of Buchanan, and Pamela (David) Root, of Berrien Springs; two brothers, Rory (Shelley) Irwin, of Delaware, and Curtis Barker, of Tennessee, and a granddaughter.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will gather privately for services.
