Bagatini performs at Box Factory

Ed Bagatini’s New Swing Orchestra takes the stage at the Box Factory for the Arts at 7:30 p.m.  Feb. 2.

Tickets, available at the door or by PayPal at  www.boxfactoryforthearts.org, are $10 general admission; $8 for students and seniors. Children 12 and younger are admitted free.

The small band with the sounds of a big band consists of leader/writer/arranger Ed Bagatini on trombone; Eric Oliphant, guitar; Jay Crouch, trumpet; Tim King, bass; Christopher Keech, alto sax;  Jim Allen, drums; Andy Kolosowsky, tenor sax; and Rob Funk, baritone sax. The emphasis is on updated swing arrangements of the ’40s, ’50s and ’60s, plus renditions of great standards of jazz and big band musicians.
