BERRIEN CENTER — Daniel A Diedrich, 61, of Berrien Center, Mich., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 at the University of Chicago Hospital in Chicago.

He was born Dec. 6, 1951 in Quincy, Mich., to Art & Jean Diedrich. He worked as a Pharmacist and was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. Dan loved to go fishing and camping, had a passion for cooking and a love for animals, and was a practical jokester. On May 4, 1996, in Niles, he married Beth A. Haley.
Surviving family include his wife, Beth A. Diedrich; one son, Devin Diedrich; one daughter, Meagan Diedrich; one granddaughter, Emma Diedrich; one brother, Bob (Phyllis) Diedrich; and one sister, Percilla (Nick) Golna.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Art & Jean Diedrich.
A funeral visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 in Hoven Funeral Home, Inc. of Buchanan. A Masonic funeral service will begin at 6 p.m., following the visitation in the funeral home. A private family graveside service will be held in Sumnerville Cemetery in Niles.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made towards his daughter Meagan Diedrich’s college fund at Fifth Third Bank in Niles.
