Goodson

Travis’ life began on July 7, 1987. He was born in Michigan City, Ind., to Bruce and Wendy (Wilson) Goodson; Travis was one of three children.

Growing up Travis was always active and loved sports. He was the adventurous one in the family, always willing to try something once. In 2005 Travis graduated from Edwardsburg High School. He was associated with the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Niles. Travis was a hard worker and had worked at his father’s carpentry business, Trim & More, since he was old enough to swing a hammer. Family was always very important to Travis. He was a loyal friend and was easy to talk to. Travis could walk in to a group of strangers and leave with lifetime friends. He will be remembered as a good-hearted guy who had a strong body, was strong willed and was always a very generous person who was always helping out a friend in need. When Travis wasn’t working he could be found playing video games, racing RC cars, snowboarding, spending time at the beach playing volleyball or spending time with his nephew, Alex. Travis was also a Cubs and Michigan Wolverine’s fan who never missed a game.

Travis is preceded in death by his sister Dana Marie Goodson, paternal grandfather Virron Goodson and maternal grandfather Charles Wilson Sr.

He is survived by his parents Bruce and Wendy Goodson of Niles, brother Seth (Joy) Goodson of Mishawaka, Ind., his nephew Alex Goodson, paternal grandmother Elme Goodson of Walkerton, Indiana, maternal grandmother Violet Wilson of Niles, several aunts, uncles and countless friends. Travis will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
