McCoy Creek Tavern, 215 E. Front St., Buchanan, will be the site of the first Buchanan Idol Karaoke Contest.

Try-outs will be held from 9 to 11 p.m. Feb. 1, 8 and 15. Registration opens at 8 p.m.

One winner and one runner up will advance to the finals from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. Feb. 22.

There is a $10 tryout fee per night. A contestant can only try out once per night.

The finalist will win $300 cash, a $50 gift card to McCoy Creek Tavern, a trophy and the title of 2013 Buchanan Idol.

Contestants must be at least 21 years old to enter.
