Dowagiac held to four in loss

ST. JOSEPH — The New Year did not get off to a great start for the Dowagiac girls basketball team.
The Chieftains were held scoreless in the first half en route to a 47-4 loss to host Michigan Lutheran Tuesday night.
The Titans (5-2) led 13-0 after one quarter and 23-0 at halftime.
Dowagiac (0-6) finally got on the board in the third quarter when Kylee Williams connected on a 3-pointer.
The Chieftains trails 38-3 heading to the final quarter.
Elizabeth Witkowski led Michigan Lutheran and all scorers with 12 points.
