Niles returns to the court Friday

The Niles boys basketball team is back in action Friday night as it takes on visiting Mishawaka in a non-conference contest.

The Cavemen come into the contest 4-1. Mishawaka is led by Chris Mitchell, who is averaging 19.2 points per game, which is 10th best in northern Indiana.

Devin Cannady is also averaging in double figures for the Cavemen at 13.6 points per game.

The Vikings, who last played Dec. 21 against Mattawan, are 1-4 overall.

This will be the second northern Indiana school Niles has played this season having lost earlier in December to South Bend Clay.

Alec Brown is Niles’ top scorer and the only player averaging in double digits at 12.4 points per game.

Tip-off is set for 7:15 p.m.
