Manuel “Manny” Tittle, 52, of Niles passed away on Dec. 31, 2012 after an extended illness. He was born in Aug. 2, 1960 in Niles to James and Opal Tittle and has lived here all his life. He attended Niles High School and played football for the Vikings.  He also played baseball (second base) at Niles’ Thomas Stadium in his teen years.

Manny worked for 18 years as a machinist at Niles Precision and most recently worked at Cutting Tools in South Bend.

Manny was loved for his generous giving nature and his kindness to those less fortunate.  He was an avid sports fan, loved to talk, and had many friends.  He loved browsing at Lowes and Menards.  He loved to cook and he made the best homemade lasagna ever.

He is survived by his mother, Opal E. Tittle of Niles, brothers, Matt Tittle and Mark Tittle of Niles and sisters, Joan (Tom) Housand of Buchanan, Preble (Mike) Paustian, Joe Ann (Merrial) Allen and Kathy (Ben) Richardson all of Niles, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, James O. Tittle, and sisters, Barbara and Rebecca Tittle.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at Hoven Funeral Home, Inc. in Buchanan, Mich.  With a memorial visitation one hour before the service.
