Mrs. Claudean Ann Young Schaber, 69, of 164 Bradley Farm Rd., Statesville, died Dec. 24, 2012, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born in Niles on Nov.28, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Claude Young and Daisy Burdeau Young. She was a beautician and enjoyed yard sales and flea markets and especially shopping for her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Charles D. Schaber; a son, Ralph E. Ryan Schaber and his wife, Olga, of Concord, N.C.; a daughter, Keri Shearer and her husband, Robert, of Concord, N.C.; two sisters, Jeannie Taylor and JoAnn Dunifin, both of Michigan; along with five grandchildren.

Services celebrating Mrs. Schaber’s life will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Farley officiating.
