James I. Holderman, 80

Born: Aug. 20, 1932

Died: Dec. 15, 2012

James I. Holderman, 80, of Cassopolis, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2012, in his residence. He was born Aug. 20, 1932, in Mishawaka, Ind., to Ira and Ava (McKinstry) Holderman.

He married Jeannine May Plath. She preceded him death in 2006 after more than 38 years of marriage.

Jim served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Jim will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Alex Halasi of Niles; one niece, Kathy (Darrell) Goodman of Sullivan, Ind.; and one nephew, Thomas (Toshimi) Halasi of Mooresville, N.C.

Family and friends will gather from noon until service time, 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at  Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 N. Broadway

St., Cassopolis, with the Rev. Paul Doellinger, pastor of Saint Paul Lutheran

Church, Cassopolis, officiating.

Military honors will be provided by the combined honor guard of William E. Lozier VFW Post 10704 and Efton James American Legion Post 206, Cassopolis.

Mr. Holderman will be laid to rest beside his late wife in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Cassopolis.
