Kokomo man charged with meth

William Leroy Holcomb, 25, of Kokomo, Ind., was arrested at 10:54 p.m. Friday for meth possession, according to Tom Atkinson, the public safety director for Dowagiac.

Holcomb, who was arrested by city police at the Family Fare Quick Stop, M-51 South, was found with multiple bags of methamphetamine, according to police.

He was charged by the Cass County Prosecutor’s office with possession of methamphetamine and held at the Cass County Jail on a $10,000 cash or surety bond pending arraignment.

Holcomb has an additional $1,000 cash-only bond for an outstanding bench warrant stemming from a larceny case.

A female subject with him was questioned and released.

Members of the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team came to the scene and assisted police with the investigation.

This matter remains under investigation.
