Pauline Charlotte Zavitz, 90, of Louis Street, Niles, died on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Lakeland Community Hospital in Niles following a brief illness. She was born Nov.18, 1922, in Allegan, to Frank and Laur (Weny) Hills.
On Nov. 22, 1942, in Allegan, she married Floyd B. “Bud” Zavitz, who preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 2001. Pauline and her husband moved to Niles shortly after getting married. Pauline was the personnel director at Simplicity Pattern Company in Niles. She enjoyed reading and watching a good movie.
Pauline is survived by three sons, Frank (and Linda) Zavitz, of Niles, Gregg Zavitz, of Edina, Minn., and Max (and Zaida) Zavitz of Scottsdale, Ariz. Also surviving are grandchildren, Chad, Scott, Staci and Evan; and great-grandchildren, Cade, Niah, Bo and Brody. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
The family will gather privately for services.
Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Allegan..
