Dowagiac girls struggling offensively

COLOMA — The Dowagiac girls basketball team continues to struggle at the offensive end of the court.

The Chieftains (0-4) scored a mere eight points Friday night in their 44-8 loss to host Coloma in a Wolverine Conference West Division clash.

The Comets scored all the points they needed in the opening quarter as they took a 14-4 lead. The score was 25-5 at halftime.

Coloma outscored Dowagiac 19-3 in the second half to earn the easy victory and improve to 2-1 on the season.

Amanda Craft had half of the Chieftains’ points with four. Rayven Brown added two.

Chelsea Carotenuto and Jenna Faultersack scored 14 and 13 respectively for the Comets.

Dowagiac is back in action Tuesday night when it hosts Vicksburg.
