A fitting tribute to troops

To the editor:

I just attended a wonderful school vocal program presented by director Jeff Robinson.

It was more than a Christmas program, it was a tribute to our National Guard unit, and what a tribute it was.

From the beginning presentation of the flag by the members of the VFW to the closing of pictures of many service men from this area and relatives of band members, it was a night to remember.

I hope every school board member was there Thursday night to see how much work just one teacher put forth to give our students a well-rounded appreciation of music and the arts.

All of the songs were memorized and many students were included with special parts.

Jeff also stated they will be selling hot chocolate and baked goods at the parade Friday evening.

This is your opportunity to support the art club.

CONGRATULATIONS to every student in the program and thank you to the St. Denys Foundation and other donors for new choir dresses.
