BUCHANAN — Travis Fenton “Bud” Gray, Jr., 77, of Buchanan, passed away on Dec. 3, 2012 at his home of natural causes.

Bud was born on April 12, 1935, in Berry, Ala., to Travis and Maude Gray. He was a US Army veteran.  Bud was a member of the Buchanan American Legion Post 51, the Niles Eagles Lodge 2094 and Buchanan Moose Lodge 449, and worked with the Buchanan Fire Department.  He enjoyed going to Bluegrass Festivals & Army reunions and he loved watching Alabama football. He was proud of and loved his family.

On June 15, 1963, in Buchanan, he married Beverly (Dietz) Gray.  She survives in Buchanan along with two sons Michael (Amy) Gray and Timothy Gray, both of Buchanan; three grandchildren, Trevor Gray and Wyatt Gray, both of Buchanan, and Ashton Kennedy of Bridgewater, Va.; brothers, James (Neve) Gray of Berry, Ala., and David (Sherry) Gray of Florida; brother-in-law, Jerry (Sue) Dietz of Clermont, Fla.; sister, Wilma Strickland of Berry, Ala.; sister-in-law, Debby Yoeman of Buchanan; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents and one sister, Ola Estelle Lollar.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 7, at Hoven Funeral Home in Buchanan.  Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, in the funeral home.  Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan.
