A Buchanan man was injured in a single-vehicle accident Monday night in Buchanan Township.

Dustin Burger, 32, was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital after his vehicle struck a tree off Red Bud Trail near Little Glendora Road around 10:45 p.m., according to a Berrien County Sheriff’s Department accident report. Burger was ejected from the vehicle. Alcohol was not a factor.

Burger was traveling north on Red Bud Trail at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his 2000 Nissan passenger car.

The accident remains under investigation.
