Willie D. Burnett, 76, of Benton Harbor, went to be with his lord and savior early Sunday morning, Nov. 18, 2012.

Born in Tennessee, the 1956 Benton Harbor High School graduate, U.S. Marine and Golden Gloves boxer worked at Clark Equipment for more than 18 years and owned Burnett’s Supermarket for 21 years before retiring in 2001.

Services to honor Willie’s life will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 130 Urbandale Ave., Benton Harbor. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Niles.
