Ann Simpson, 77, of Niles, Mich., passed away on Nov. 2 while on a trip to San Jose, Calif., to visit her sister Geraldine for her 92nd birthday. She passed as the result of a second stroke. Ann worked at Memorial Hospital in South Bend as a surgical nurse prior to retirement.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Simpson who had been a director of MIS at Wheelabrator Frye, RACO, and Bendix prior to retirement. They have two wonderful daughters. Hope Simpson is an ER nurse in Portland, Oreg., and is married to Mike Berry. Meredith Simpson is a manager of a small firm in Indianapolis and is married to Roddy Kirshenman. They have two wonderful boys, Paul and Oscar.

Ann was a wonderful wife and mother. She had many interests and loved reading, cooking, gardening and cats. She cared for 16 beautiful flowerbeds that she adored at their home. She was a member of the Niles Garden Club.
She will be so missed by her family and friends. The family plans to have a family and friends get together sometime in the spring to celebrate her wonderful life.
