NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. — Sophomore defensive lineman Stephen Coble represented Manchester University on the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference’s Player of the Week list for the period ending Sunday.

Coble (Edwardsburg) registered his second Defensive Player of the Week award after leading the Spartans’ defense in a 38-0 shutout win over rival Anderson Nov. 10.

He recorded nine tackles, four tackles for loss and three sacks to help put a wrap on the school’s first winning season since 1997.

The win over Anderson also retained the Bronze Ball trophy for the fourth time in five seasons, as the Spartans’ defensive unit limited the Ravens to only 98 yards of total offense in the contest.
Manchester (6-4, 6-2 HCAC) finished the season second in the HCAC standings.
