Thomas Dean Lindzy, 65, of Oswego, Ill., died suddenly on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 at his residence. He was born June 8, 1947 in South Bend, Ind., the son of the late Ralph G and Beryl l nee Weinberg Lindzy.

Tom was employed as a building engineer at Long Beach Elementary School and formerly at Fox Chase Elementary Schools in the Oswego School District No. 308. He had worked as a tile setter for many years in the South Bend, Ind., area owning his own business and working for Factory Tile.

Tom is survived by his wife Debra K nee Roberts Lindzy, a daughter Anna (Joshua Hill) Lindzy of Wetumpka, Alab.; three brothers William (Sandra) Lindzy, Jack (Nancy) Lindzy and Richard (Judy) Lindzy all of South Bend, Ind.; several nieces, nephews and the mother of his daughter, Elizabeth Lindzy, of Tarpon Springs, Fla. He was preceded in death by his brothers John and Bob Lindzy.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 from 1 p.m. until a time of sharing at 5 p.m. at the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd South Bend, Ind., 574-272-2244. Cremation was accorded the wish of the family at American Crematory of Oswego, Ill.
